Easter Day Service 9th April

There will be a United Benefice Service at 11 a.m. which will be led by the newly appointed Rural Dean the Rev Heidi Huntley. The churches of Germoe, Sithney, Porthleven and Wendron will be joining us for what should be a very joyous occasion. We are delighted to welcome Breage Silver Band who will accompany the hymns. Refreshments will be served after the service. All are welcome.

No morning service at Breage Church on 29 May

There will be a 10:30 United Benefice Holy Communion Service at St Sithney on 29 May. Consequently, there will be no morning service at Breage that Sunday.

Summer Concert: Four Lanes Male Choir

We are delighted to announce our first concert since covid forced a hiatus. Four Lanes Male Choir will be entertaining us in church on Wednesday 17 August. More details to follow.

Christmas Tree Festival

The Breage Christmas Tree Festival took place in church 17-19 December 2021, culminating with a Celebration Christmas Tea on Sunday, and followed by the annual carol service accompanied by Breage Band. A good time was had by all.

Church open after Breage Christmas lights switch-on

The church was open on 4 December 2021 for mince pies, mulled wine and seasonal music after the Breage Christmas lights were switched on. It was lovely to return to this tradition after a hiatus last year.

Breage Church now open for Sunday worship

Weekly Sunday services will take place from now on at 11:15: there will normally be Holy Communion on the first three Sundays in each month, and a Service of the Word on the fourth Sunday.

Breage Church is once again open to visitors during daylight hours

You are encouraged to visit the church and see the changes that have happened during lockdown. The Heritage Centre is now fully open, and the new automatic lighting enhances your view of the many wall paintings.

Heritage Centre now fully open

The Heritage Centre contains information about the 10 Saints of West Cornwall (including St Breaca), the history of the building and the wall paintings. A sculpture representing St Breaca, by local artist Bob Dawson, is also on display.

New church history booklet published

As part of the work on the new Heritage Centre, a new booklet explaining the history of the church is now available.

No Christmas lights in Breage in 2020

Due to the second lockdown, there were no Christmas lights around the village. As a consequence, the usual December Friends event, when the church is open for mince pies etc. after the lights switch on, did not take place.
